Update: Court Sittings in the four counties in the Southern Region - 8 and 9 January 2025

**UPDATED IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR COURTS SITTING IN THE SOUTHERN REGION**

Please note up-to-date information from today, Tuesday 7 January, on the status of court sittings in the Southern Region:

• Nenagh – court scheduled for Thurles on Wednesday 8 January is CANCELLED.  Custody cases are adjourned to the 9 January and all other cases adjourned to 21 January 2025. Nenagh District Court Office will be closed on Wednesday.

• Mallow – court scheduled for Mallow on Wednesday 8 January is CANCELLED. All matters are now adjourned to 12 March 2025. Mallow District Court Office will be closed on Wednesday 8 & Thursday 9 January.

• Clonmel – court scheduled for Cashel on Thursday 9 January is CANCELLED.  All cases adjourned to 13 February 2025. Clonmel Court Office will be closed on Wednesday 8 & Thursday 9 January.

• Tralee – court scheduled for Tralee on Wednesday 8 January will sit as scheduled at 10:30. Courts sitting at Caherciveen & Killorglin (sitting at Caherciveen) will now sit at Tralee Courthouse at 11:00 on Thursday 9 January 2025.
   
• Cork City – court scheduled for Anglesea Street on Wednesday 8 of January will now start at 11:30. Courts scheduled for Washington Street & Youghal are to proceed as normal on Wednesday 8 January at 10:30.
   
• West Cork – court scheduled for Macroom on Wednesday 8 January is CANCELLED. All cases adjourned to 5 January 2025, bar one Bantry family law matter, which has been adjourned to Bantry District Court on the 22 January 2025. Clonakilty District Court Office will be closed on Wednesday 8 January.

• Limerick – The Family Law District Court in Newcastle West scheduled for Thursday 9 January has been CANCELLED. All matters have been adjourned to Newcastle West on Thursday 23 January.  Any interim orders to continue. Matters pertaining to Mulgrave Street and Merchant’s Quay to proceed as normal.

Furthermore, office resources may be curtailed (particularly dependant on location) due to staff being unable to attend the office.   Practitioners should e-mail queries to the relevant office e-mail accounts for local information if required.
